People with learning disabilities are one of the most vulnerable and least protected groups in society. There are an estimated 1400 new cases of sexual abuse of people each year. Traumatic experiences such as abuse, loss or bereavement, are all too common. Dependency on others sometimes means this group are more at risk. people need sensitive support and understanding to help process and move on. We are one of the only organisations that can provide the specialist support such as individual, family and group psychotherapy and a freephone helpline. We also do training for professionals, consltancy and risk assessments.
