The goals of Historically Significant Structures Inc. (HSS), a 501c3, include the restoration, reconstruction, and preservation of the Execution Rocks Lighthouse. HSS is dedicated to continuing its century and a half of history and service to the boaters, fishermen and residents of Long Island's North Shore. While maintaining strict adherence to the Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties and compliance with the legal requirements of the NHLPA, HSS plans on restoring the keeper's quarters and tower to its 1930's appearance including the reconstruction of the shed and the steam engine room as shown in existing photos. The completed project will serve the public as an educational maritime and historic destination.
