Acerca de

Legal Aid of Sonoma County was founded in 1958 and became a private, nonprofit organization in 1983. Legal Aid's mission is "to promote social justice and advance the basic human rights of vulnerable people in our community."


Legal Aid provides various free legal services to their clients in the areas of domestic violence, unlawful detainers (evictions), guardianship and elder law. Since Legal Aid provides free legal services to their clients, many of the services are provided by volunteers.


Legal Aid's volunteers come from a variety of different backgrounds bringing a lot of diverse skill sets and experiences. Volunteers consist of attorneys, paralegals, college and law students, as well as community volunteers.
