Hartford Food System

Hartford Food System increases the access of lower income people to good, affordable food. It provides information about nutrition, food, and sustainable agriculture to a broad community, but with a special focus on the needs of lower income communities. It promotes responsible farming practices which emphasize locally produced and marketed food that is grown organically or through reduced chemical use programs. It also promotes responsible food policy at the local, state, and national levels of government through food policy councils and policy advocacy.
