Research Center for Leadership In Action

The Research Center for Leadership in Action (RCLA) serves as a hub where people from multiple sectors and disciplines, engaged in pressing social issues, come together to explore the complexities of their leadership challenges. Through practice-grounded interdisciplinary research and a rich array of programs and projects, RCLA translates personally-held practitioner experience into shared expertise, and leadership theory into useful instruments.

RCLA’s ultimate goal is to generate new and cutting-edge knowledge to advance leadership theory and practice, and to support systems and organizations that aspire to be effective, transparent, inclusive and fair. Housed at the Graduate School of Public Service, NYU, RCLA currently has 20 full and part time staff and affiliated faculty and fellows working on multiple RCLA domestic and international projects.
