Brain Power Development Centre is a non-profit organisation dedicated to creating innovative solutions to health for socio-economic empowerment of young people through research, education and collaborative partnerships - in Africa and around the world. The Centre seeks to promote substance abuse prevention, sustainable development, and human rights, and to embrace technology in building businesses for inclusive societies.

BPDC prioritizes the community and vulnerable poor – youth in particular – and organizes its work around health, education, empowerment, advocacy and entrepreneurship. BPDC projects aim to help people lead drug-free and attain healthy lives.

BPDC offers volunteer projects for groups and individuals in Ghana. Our programmes are designed for volunteers and intern to also fulfill your abroad internship and volunteer goals with genuine experiences that positively affect local people, and promotes sustainable and responsible volunteering through our projects.

When choosing a BPDC project, you are choosing to support responsible development for a range of causes. Perhaps you would like to help build or maintain a formal recovering unit, like a Treatment or Rehab centre. Without a space dedicated to recovering it’s impossible for any treatment or recovering to take place. BPDC volunteer abroad projects also have a sensitization component where volunteers help raise awareness about the importance of a drug-free life to both the local communities and tourists visiting the project or area.
