Communities In Schools of Rowan County is an affiliate of Communities In Schools, Inc. (CIS), the nation’s leading community-based organization helping young people stay in school and prepare for life. CIS of Rowan County began in 1998 and was chartered in 2001, and serves selected schools in the Rowan-Salisbury Schools district. We currently serve five elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school, all in the Rowan-Salisbury Schools district. We have eleven employees and a budget slightly in excess of $300,000.
Our Mission is "to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life."
