SustainABLE Start is a student-run, 501(c)(3) nonprofit that creates and distributes hygiene kits at NYC shelters, drop-in centers, and to individuals on the street.
Since 2019, we’ve been protecting and empowering our clients with our kits, which contain high-quality and eco-friendly hand sanitizers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, wet wipes, deodorants, socks, pads/tampons, and a resource guide to homeless facilities. Every kit also has a hand-written note to spread joy to our neighbors!
Our mission is to make our neighbors experiencing homelessness feel safe, respected, seen, and loved.
