Experience Corps - Greater New Haven

You have the experience. We have children who need you! Experience Corps - Greater New Haven volunteers, age 50+, tutor children to improve their literacy skills. Volunteers help K-grade 3 students in Hamden and East Haven elementary schools and a New Haven after-school program 3 days per week. Volunteers also promote reading at community events by giving away used children's books. Training is provided along with a small stipend and help for your child/grandchild's college or student loan costs.
