Friends of Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens

The Friends of Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens is dedicated to ensuring the Gardens are a well-maintained, well-enjoyed and welcoming park for neighbors and visitors. Friends is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that connects people to the Gardens through stewardship, public engagement and educational programs in cooperation with the National Park Service. We envision an aquatic gardens that inspires.

This unique park reveals the only remaining tidal marsh in Washington, D.C., natural riparian environments along the Anacostia, and breathtaking historic water lily and lotus in ponds. We encourage public discovery of the park through community events, volunteer activities, and educational programs for youth. 

 The Friends of Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens celebrates and protects this special place by:
