Friends of Patterson Park

The Friends of Patterson Park works to ensure the park's vitality as a treasured green space and encourages use and appreciation by neighbors, visitors, and generations to come. We believe that a well used and well tended park contributes to the health and vitality of the diverse communities who call Patterson Park the Best Backyard in Baltimore.

The Friends' Volunteer Park Stewardship Programs include the Tree Team, Pagoda Team, Boat Lake Team, and Detail Detail Team. These teams of volunteers care for and plant trees in the park, clean and staff the Pagoda on Sundays when it's open to the public, tend gardens, clean the boat lake and playground areas, paint park benches, and much, much more.

The Friends' youth and family recreational programming provides free soccer and tennis programs to area youth, a Monday night walking group, and a family soccer program. The Friends also produce or co-produce over 30 events in the park each year including outdoor summer concerts, an annual wine tasting event, and the Great Big Halloween Parade.
