Community Exchange

Community Exchange is a network of people in the Lehigh Valley who both volunteer time and earn time through a model for community action and connectivity called Time Banking. Volunteer members create caring and supportive social networks by exchanging services with people within their communities. Through these exchanges of time and talent, members make friends and get to know neighbors, develop and understand the value of ALL members of our community, and address key community health issues such as loneliness and isolation, lack of medical transportation, and language barriers to health care. Members earn one “time dollar” for each hour of service they provide. They redeem time dollars for services they want or they can donate them to others.
