The Consortium Congo Development

The Consortium Congo Development (CCD) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) located in the Democratic Republic of Congo (D.R. Congo). CCD is also a coalition of several local NGOs working towards integrated and sustainable development in the D.R. Congo. Because the D.R. Congo is coming out of a war that lasted more than a decade, the reconstruction work ahead is daunting: the Congolese people need security, a functioning government, infrastructures, health care, food security, innovative development solutions, a functioning financial sector...the list is by no means exhaustive.

Mission: CCD’s mission is to promote integrated and sustainable development in the D.R. Congo. To achieve this mission, the CCD develops and implements various local, high impact projects. Additionally, CCD brings together a coherent alliance of small, grass roots organizations that share expertise, experience, knowledge, and resources.

Project Focus: CCD’s ultimate goal is to contribute to the establishment of a peaceful, democratic, and prosperous Congo, one development project at a time, one advocacy campaign at a time, one school at time, etc. CCD is working in numerous sectors:

• Economic Development (with an emphasis on business development and sustainability)

• Human Rights (with an emphasis on women’s rights)
