Oakland Art Murmur

Oakland Art Murmur began as an acknowledgment by eight arts spaces located in the Northgate and Temescal neighborhoods that a cooperative effort to promote the arts in the region would garner more attention for their individual visual art programs through the vehicle of a collective First Friday Art Walk. The gallery walk and corresponding organization grew over the years, and Oakland Art Murmur is now a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that includes over forty galleries and mixed-use art spaces throughout the City of Oakland and offers unique programing above and beyond the incredibly popular First Friday gallery festivities.
