AmeriCorps is a National Service Program designed to engage AmeriCorps members in direct service and capacity-building to address unmet community needs. AmeriCorps members dedicate 1,700 hours to service with a nonprofit, faith-based, or community organization for which they receive a modest living allowance (approximately $10,000), health benefits, and are eligible for an education award ($4,725).
Habitat for Humanity recruits AmeriCorps members to serve at local affiliates and nonprofits located throughout the state. Habitat AmeriCorps members may serve in Construction, Family, or Volunteer Services or as Quality Technicians.
