CIRC

The mission of the CIRC is to provide sustainable housing and enhance the lives of older adults and families. CIRC works to ensure that low to moderate income individuals avoid homelessness and remain independent and healthy. Our vision is that all older adults and families have access to safe, secure, affordable housing so they can thrive.

CIRC is a non-profit organization focused on providing vital services that often go unmet in independent affordable housing communities. We are transforming the way people think about affordable housing by building and supporting vibrant communities where low-to-moderate income seniors and families thrive and can safely age in place.

CIRC provides resident programs that support health, wellness, community engagement, and transportation. From fitness classes and technology support to community led food pantries, weekly outings, annual resource fairs, and nursing student partnerships, our Resident Programs team develops, manages, and supports programs and partnerships that are vital to resident life. Additional opportunities like volunteer connections, Coffee with a Cop events, and vaccine clinics, help foster meaningful engagement and access to services. Most programs are supported through community partnerships and grants, and all are provided to residents at no cost.

CIRC also assigns Resident Services Coordinators to communities to assist individual residents navigate complex social services. RSC's help with filling out forms (DSHS, Social Security, Medicare, Utility Assistance), connecting to community resources (transportation, food banks, local support organizations), and supporting daily life (understanding letters and paperwork, hosting workshops, conflict resolution, etc).

We currently support 25 communities throughout Puget Sound, from Bellingham to Olympia. CIRC was formed by merging three Puget Sound-based organizations (Community Life Foundation, Community Management Partners and Downtown Action to Save Housing) and is now an affiliate of Transforming Age.
