CAI is a private non-profit organization established in1965 to address the causes and consequences of poverty through education, training, advocacy, prevention and services to meet basic human needs.

CAI service area includes: Amesbury, Boxford, Georgetown, Groveland, Haverhill, Merrimac, Newbury, Newburyport, Rowley, Salisbury and West Newbury. CAI also offers programs in Beverly, Essex, Gloucester, Hamilton, Ipswich, Lawrence, Manchester, Rockport, Topsfield and Wenham.
