Dogstar Assistance Dogs

Located just outside of Dallas, Texas, Dogstar Assistance Dogs trains and places dogs to help people with disabilities.

DSAD also assists owner-trainers in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex with the selection, training, and certification of their assistance dog.

Dogstar Assistance Dogs specializes in training assistance dogs for people with neurological and other brain-based disabilities, such as autism, traumatic brain injury, and psychiatric disorders. Dogstar Assistance Dogs does not place autism assistance dogs with young children or in three-person teams. We will place skilled companion dogs with young children. Skilled companion dogs are not assistance dogs and cannot be used in public access, but can be trained to assist their handlers around the home.
