Fredericksburg READS Literacy Council

The mission of Fredericksburg Literacy Council is to empower adults through literacy and learning, building essential skills that support success in everyday life, employment, and community engagement.

We serve any and all adults in the Fredericksburg region who need literacy services. Our volunteer opportunities include being a reading partner for an English language learner, facilitating a small group for English conversation skills, helping individuals with basic computer literacy, and assisting in a class for English learners. We provide training and support for you. We want to find you just the right fit for where you can make the biggest impact as a volunteer with our literacy program. Contact us for all the details.
