    The Foundation for Tacoma Students

The Foundation for Tacoma Students is the key connection point and organizer supporting the Graduate Tacoma community-wide movement. We do this by engaging all community systems that are influential to the success of Tacoma’s youngest residents — from the highest level of office to direct service providers who work with children and families on a daily basis.

    Graduate Tacoma

Today, Graduate Tacoma is more than 350 community partners strong. We are parents and educators, early learning and higher education, business and labor, youth and community service, civic and philanthropy, local government and communities of faith, all aligning our work together with Tacoma schools to impact student success.

    Our Community-Built Goal

By 2030, 70 percent of Tacoma Public Schools students will earn a degree, technical certificate, or gain a good-earning wage employment opportunity within six years of high school graduation. Targeted efforts will focus on students of color and those impacted by poverty.

Success will require meaningful cross-sector alignment and partnership, data-sharing and accountability, targeted resourcing, advocating for racially just practices, and maintaining progress on all indicators, cradle to career.
