The Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology (DSPT) is a graduate school in the Dominican tradition, offering MA degrees in philosophy and theology, as well as certificate options. Inspired by the Dominican commitment to uniting faith and reason, the School draws its students into the rich tradition of classical philosophy and theology, drawing especially on Thomas Aquinas, and engages contemporary scholarship and culture in mutual enrichment. We not only teach, but form students to kindle their vocations and engage the culture in dialogue. The DSPT is committed to preparing women and men to become agents of change in all arenas of life. Located in Berkeley, CA, DSPT is a member of the Graduate Theological Union, a rare consortium of theological schools engaged in an interdisciplinary search for truth.
