YADOW Vision CBO

YADOW is an acronym for youths,aged,disabled,ovc and widows.This is a nonprofit organization based in Siaya county of republic of Kenya and is a registered entity.

OUR MISSION:To ensure that trained Development Mentors (DMs)effectively facilitate Self Reliant Participatory Development (SRPD)approaches among the Youths,Aged,Disabled,OVCs and Widows in the community.

OUR VISION:To be the leading organization empowering Youths,Aged,Disabled,OVCs and Widows (YADOWs)initiate their own(personal or human),economic,civic and social (community)development processes for self reliance and sustenance to improve their living standards.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

1.To promote food security to eradicate extreme hunger and poverty through adoption of modern agricultural technology.

2.To promote gender equality,equity and empower those defined by YADOW

3.To promote education and ICT especially among the less fortunate

4.Leadership empowerment and record keeping for sustainable development.

5.Promote microbusiness and modern farming.

6.To ensure environmental conservation and sustainability in pursuit of the aforementioned aims and objectives

7.To partner and network with like minded people and organizations for development 8.Promote health through interventions to combat diseases such as HIV,malaria etc.
