  • Acerca de

The New Entry Sustainable Farming Project (NESFP) started in 1998 as one of the first initiatives nationwide to assist socially and economically disadvantaged immigrants and refugees to develop commercial farming opportunities. The mission of NESFP is to assist recent immigrants and refugees and others with agricultural backgrounds to successfully enter farming in Eastern Massachusetts, in order to (a) build long-term economic self-reliance and community self-sufficiency among participants and their communities; (b) expand access to high quality, culturally-desirable foods through production of locally-grown foods by members of these communities; and (c) support the vitality and sustainability of the region's agriculture. See http://www.nesfp.org for more information on the project.
