    Robert Daniel Jones Immigrant Shelter

    The RDJ Shelter provides temporary, community oriented shelter and referral service for homeless immigrant men/asylum seekers, to serve as a stepping stone to more permanent housing.

    Monday Client Choice Food Pantry – staffed by volunteers, the Pantry serves 100 hungry families and individuals every week. Through cooperation with Just Food & the United Way we offer fresh vegetables from a New York farm from June to November. Cooking demonstrations available in English and Spanish. 

    Tuesday Free Medical Clinic – Columbia-Harlem Homeless Medical Partnership offers physical exams, prescriptions, and resources to support health and wellbeing. Dental Clinic on 1st& 3rd Tuesdays at 6; Occupational Therapy on 2nd& 4th Tuesdays.

    Friday Movie Night – free showing of box office hits and classic favorites, complete with popcorn! All ages welcome - schedule available by request. 

    Saturday Outreach/Mobile Soup Kitchen – volunteers prepare bag lunches, hot soup in colder months, to take to approximately 80 people living on the streets and in the parks in Harlem each week. DRIVERS NEEDED.

    Stress Reduction/Wellness - by donation - meditation is offered on Monday evening and Saturday morning, tai chi/qi gong on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.

    St. Mary's also hosts a number of 12 step groups.
