To educate the public on the nature of paruresis, also known as shy bladder syndrome. To be an information clearinghouse and resource center for treatment and referrals. To facilitate the establishment of support groups across the country. To promote research to help identify the most clinically effective treatments. To accurately assess the epidemiology and incidence of paruresis. To uncover the etiology of paruresis. To pursue other activities consistent with these purposes.
