Families First

The mission of Families First is to build resilient families so all children can thrive. Families First is an Atlanta-based social services nonprofit. Since 1890, we have delivered empowering solutions for some of Georgia’s most vulnerable residents. Last year, we assisted over 19,000 children and families.

Our prevention-based strategy focuses on two generations—the parent and the child. To help families achieve their fullest potential, we provide wrap around services, including:

• Behavioral Health: Helping families, individuals, youth, and children to express, understand, and cope with life events,
• Navigator Services: Supporting families with complex trauma through personalized case management that expands their resilience and connects them to critical services,
• Parenting and Adoption Support Services: Providing parenting classes and services for divorced/separated parents, family reunification for individuals impacted by adoption, and comprehensive support for Georgia's adoptive and foster families.
