Girls On the Run of Southeastern Michigan

Girls on the Run of Southeastern Michigan (GOTSEMI) is a non-profit community-based organization. GOTRSEMI’s mission is to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. Our 300+ volunteer coaches mentor approximately 2,000 young girls (ages 8-14) annually in a 10-week after-school program that combine training for a 5K event with self-esteem enhancing, uplifting lessons. GOTRSEMI sessions integrate specific life-skills training such as healthy decision-making, dealing with bullies, contributing to the community, leadership and teamwork. Each season culminates in a non-competitive, celebration 5k event.
