Greater Cleveland Community Shares is Cleveland's only social justice advocacy workplace giving federation. Created in 1985 by 13 grassroots community advocacy organizations, Community Shares' purpose is to advance social and economic justice by providing member organizations- currently 35 strong- with a steady and growing source of operating income through workplace payroll deduction campaigns. Shares' member organizations are joined by a common mission: to address the root causes of social problems facing our neighborhoods and our community at a local level.
