UC Irvine Sustainability Initiative

Part of the Office of Academic Initiatives at the University of California, Irvine, the Sustainability Initiative is making engaged sustainability scholarship an integral part of UC Irvine's excellence as a research and teaching university. The Initiative enables UC Irvine to augment the campus role in addressing critical sustainability challenges in California and around the globe and helps meet the University of California's commitment to exercise leadership in accelerating the shift to sustainability. The Initiative executes this mission through services and programs in education and engagement, drawing upon the full range of sciences and humanities as well as policy and practitioner experience.
