THE Breast Cancer Fundraiser began in 2004 in the backyard of a suburban home in Orange County, California. In 2009, the organization was formally founded as THE Breast Cancer Fundraiser with the goal of growing nationwide to reach 20 metropolitan cities by the year 2020.
THE Breast Cancer Fundraiser is one of the few organizations whose primary focus is to promote philanthropic involvement among a generation of young professionals ranging in age from 21 – 40. Our goal is to reach this age group by:
Organizing annual fundraising events in each market where young professionals can afford to give and participate in philanthropic outreach while avocating and funding vital, value added services to newly diagnosed and young breast cancer patients and their families
THE BCF cocktail parties hosted in cities across the country are founded on 3 core principles:
Raise money for integrative care that aligns with our mission
Prompt philanthropic involvement amongst a generation of young professionals
Honor local breast cancer survivors and fighters
