As a 501(c)(3) organization, Hokuto Taiko Dojo's vision is to share Japanese culture with the vibrant communities of New Hampshire, and New England through the sound and teaching of wadaiko (Japanese drumming); creating a vibrant community of drummers and Japanese enthusiasts!
Our mission is to provide and engage with local communities throughout the state of New Hampshire, and New England with the opportunity to learn more about Japanese culture through the art of "wadaiko" or, Japanese drumming, as well as other Japanese performing arts; with the intent on promoting positive images of Japanese culture and history, thereby promoting greater cross-cultural understanding of the country of Japan and its deeply-rooted heritage.
