Lyons Valley Preschool

After the September 2013 floods in Colorado a group of parents in Lyons, began working together to start a new Montessori preschool. Set in the foothills north of Boulder, Lyons is an idyllic small town with a ton of heart. Lyons is home to excellent public schools and a community of eclectic residents. On weekends the coffee shops are full of cyclists and families reconnecting after busy weeks. Lyons attracts musicians and artists and many professionals looking to escape to the mountain lifestyle. Although Lyons was devastated in the recent floods, the town is resilient, and many infrastructure repairs are happening ahead of schedule. It will take time, but residents are more than committed to rebuilding a better, more beautiful Lyons. Opening a new preschool will be just one of many milestones in the rebuilding of our community. We are looking for a talented, passionate and experienced leader to help us open a new non-profit preschool this summer. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work with a group of committed parents to create a vision for a world-class school and deliver that vision.
