The May 18 Memorial Foundation was founded with the funds from Gwnagju citizens, symphatetic overseas Koreans and from individuals who sacrificed and got indeminification from the government. It was created on August 30, 1994 by people who believe it's important to keep th eideas and memories of the May 18 Democratic Uprising alive and remembered.
