Global Surgical Expedition

Did you know that an estimated 30-50% of our world’s population lacks access to basic surgical care? Or that a significant percentage of deaths in these countries can be prevented by routine surgeries that we take for granted? It is estimated that 1.5 million surgeries are needed in developing countries to help meet this need. GSE seeks to be part of this!

Annually, GSE sends 4 complete teams of nurses, technicians, physicians to countries to perform week-long surgical trips. Since it's founding in 2012, GSE has performed over 250 surgeries and treated over 700 patients.
