Its primary aim is to address water quality issues stemming from agricultural practices while ensuring farming remains viable in the region. 

    Established in response to state regulations, the VCAILG functions as a coalition to collectively manage water quality concerns specific to irrigated lands. It serves as a platform for farmers to share best practices, receive technical assistance, and implement measures that reduce the environmental impact of their operations.
