We believe that every child - every family should get to experience the magic & mayhem that is Halloween by providing FREE Halloween costumes to struggling families in the communities we serve.

At S.C.A.R.E., we understand that buying a Halloween costume the child is only going to wear once maybe twice isn't always a priority. There are the basic needs of food on the table, warm clothes as the temperatures drop, and even a roof over your head. But we have seen firsthand how something as simple as a costume can affect the well-being of others. The weight that is lifted from the shoulders of the parents who are trying their best to provide and this program not only gives them a bit of relief but allows them to participate in the holiday alongside their children making memories. The children who otherwise would go without now can lift their head in pride as they get to be involved in the classroom party or tag along with friends who have a little mischievous fun that one night of the year. Their self-esteem and self-worth improved because they have a costume to wear instead of feeling like an unwanted outsider.
