J. Austin White Cultural Center, Inc.

Acerca de

The J. Austin White Cultural Center, Inc. is located in Eudora, Arkansas, a small town in the rural ArkLaMissDelta. The organization owns and operates two facilities located on downtown Eudora's Main Street, the J. Austin White Cultural Center (JAWCC) and the Tommy Marshall Curiosity Center (TMCC). JAWCC's offers music, art, theater, and other activities for children and youth in this culturally isolated area of Southeast Arkansas, and endeavors to assist children in finding their hidden strengths and talents, broadening them to grow into responsible, cultured adults who give back to their community. The TMCC, located right next door to JAWCC's facility, is a science museum project the organization took on in 2014. The TMCC's construction was recently completed, and the organization plans to have it open for business within the next two years. The TMCC will be a field trip destination that fosters the curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving of children through STEAM-learning experiences and enrichment programs to better prepare them to be confident, well-rounded and informed adults. It will provide the children and families of Eudora and the surrounding ArkLaMiss Delta region with easy to access STEAM enrichment and educational opportunities they currently cannot easily access.
