Since 1968, Queens Jewish Community Council has served the needs of the people of Queens with kindness, compassion, and understanding. QJCC has provided social services, cultural programming and educational forums for senior, immigrant, and low-income communities living in Queens. QJCC partners over 100 faith-based organizations in its commitment to alleviate poverty in Queens and to ensure our clients' economic, cultural, and social prosperity.

QJCC’s activities for the Queens population also include: Project Lifeline, a program that provides emergency alert buttons to frail senior citizens, Project Necessity, which facilitates family and youth managed care and health insurance, monthly food package distribution to over 900 poor families, entitlement advocacy, bilingual culture clubs, community-wide summer concert series, family counseling, acculturation assistance, interpretation and translation services, educational seminars. QJCC has particularly reached out and established a reputation of trust with the immigrant, senior, and low-income communities by providing social services, acculturation assistance, youth-at-risk outreach, domestic violence counseling and family programs.
