GAIT Therapeutic Riding Center

GAIT Therapeutic Riding Center (GAIT TRC) is a PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Center that offers a variety of equine programs designed to meet the needs of children and adults with developmental, physical, and emotional challenges. Our mission is “to improve the quality of life of children and adults with special needs through equine activities and therapies, resulting in a more independent life in society." We strive to promote independence and self-confidence for people with special needs through the use of adaptive riding and horsemanship skills. Volunteers are essential to the success of GAIT’s programs and to enriching the lives of participants.

If you enjoy being outdoors, working with animals, and helping those in need, GAIT may be just the place for you. Become part of a team with PATH Intl. Certified Instructors, specially trained horses, and riders with special needs. GAIT provides many rewarding volunteer opportunities for those who are interested in working with horses, being physically active, learning new skills, and giving back to the community. Volunteer experience is also beneficial to expanding your social network, exploring career opportunities, and building references for work/ college resumes.
