Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice - Ventura County

"We stand with those who struggle." Our mission is to mobilize clergy and congregations throughout Ventura County in efforts to influence public opinion and policy to achieve economic justice, particu­larly for our region’s low-wage workers. We seek to challenge congrega­tions to recognize the linkages between the imperatives of faith, economic justice, and the urgency to act on these faith mandates. We are currently focused on creating Decent, Affordable Farm Worker Housing and achieving Justice for Immigrant Workers and Families. Our history includes work on local Living Wage ordinances and Moral Budgeting to assure vital services, especially access to quality health care, at state and local levels.
