She-Empowers Women & Girls Initiative

Established in 2023, She-Empowers Women & Girls Initiative is a passionate team dedicated to bettering Nigerian communities by training women to build profitable businesses and enrolling girls in schools from disadvantaged and marginalized communities. We are committed to addressing the interconnected challenges of gender-based economic and educational inequality by empowering women and girls with the tools and training necessary to achieve self-sufficiency and financial independence. We strive to eliminate the gender barriers which prevent women and girls from reaching their full potential. Our programs focus on helping women running small-sized enterprises– who will benefit from our business training–and young women wishing to receive an education– who will benefit from our scholarships, workshops, and leadership programs. When girls are denied education, their potential to achieve economic independence diminishes, perpetuating cycles of poverty and inequality. Similarly, when women lack access to resources and training, they are less able to support their families and communities. By empowering female entrepreneurs and improving educational opportunities for girls, SEI seeks to create a ripple effect of empowerment, fostering long-term economic growth and social change.
