The Yusuf Meherally Centre's (YMC) main purpose is to cherish and promote social justice and social responsibility by encouraging understanding among the people. The YMC provides a space for discussion surrounding social justice, particularly those issues regarding the under-privileged, minorities, and lower caste peoples. YMC is engaged in projects that aid the needy, such as medical resources, relief work, education, and livelihood generation. Generally, the YMC is engaged in rural development.
