Misión
The Somerville Rescue Squad is committed to providing the highest quality emergency medical and technical rescue services available to the communities we serve. At the same time, we will facilitate the education, training, and understanding of injury and illness prevention as well as our role in the response, treatment, and transportation of the sick and injured.
Since being founded in 1928, the Somerville Rescue Squad has provided the citizens of Somerville, Somerset County, and Central New Jersey with exemplary, VOLUNTEER, emergency medical and rescue services, 365 days a year

As the oldest inland rescue squad in New Jersey and one of the oldest VOLUNTEER emergency medical service organizations in the United States we have a proud tradition of service to citizens, businesses, and government in Somerville as well as surrounding towns.
Since being founded in 1928, the Somerville Rescue Squad has provided exemplary, VOLUNTEER, emergency medical and rescue services, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.
This proud tradition of service is continued today by our volunteers. They come from all walks of life but share a common sense of duty, dedication and teamwork.
