ACE (Acceptance of self and others, Creativity, and Ecology) Integration Head Start seeks to be an agent of change for families from Bedford Stuyvesant and Bushwick. This is achieved through a social service program that aids the local community, in addition to a high-quality, bilingual early childhood education available to children of all abilities. With a teaching methodology based on the Creative Curriculum and Reggio Emilia philosophy, ACE offers encouragement and guidance that helps individuals lead self-reliant and productive lives. 

The overall goal of ACE Integration Head Start is to promote an early childhood development program for all children. This begins with a learning environment designed to help children develop socially, intellectually, physically and emotionally. The subjects covered by the program include mathematics, language, science, music, art and drama. The offered activities and experiences encourage children to problem solve and think creatively. When necessary, services such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and counseling are provided in the family’s native language. We believe that parents from underprivileged backgrounds benefit from additional support as they strive to create better lives for their children. Therefore, we provide support services as well as educational workshops for local families. Families with children who have disabilities are also provided with guidance that helps them better understand their child’s needs.
