NABUUR's mission is to give local communities in developing countries access to resources available elsewhere.
Online volunteers (virtual neighbors) help a local community to solve its problems. By searching for information, using their creativity and contacting organizations and people they know.
Local communities get a 'Village web site' on www.nabuur.com. NABUUR then looks for online volunteers who want to help these communities. At the moment communities in Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru, Ukraine, India and Nepal participate in NABUUR.
Examples of issues that are tackled on www.nabuur.com are: sustainable development, education, environment, health, indigenous groups, agriculture, water and sanitation, community development.
