Morristown, NJ

Acerca de

Branch Brook Park, a Frederick Law Olmsted-conceived Park, is a 360-acre Essex County park in Newark, NJ. Located in the third oldest city in the nation within the oldest county park system in the US, the Park is a national and local treasure. The Park, which serves over one million visitors annually, has the largest collection of cherry trees in the world. In Newark it serves as an important connector between the city's downtown and its neighborhoods, providing much needed green space in a densely poppulated area.

In 1999, the Branch Brook Park Alliance was created as a public-private partnership with the Essex County Park and Recreation Department. The mission of the Alliance is to help restore one of the most important parks in the country and to work with the County of Essex and the City of Newark to provide visitors from the neighborhood, the city, the county and the state with appropriate park programming.
