ONE SOURCE - EMPOWERING CAREGIVERS

One Source Empowering Caregivers was founded as a (501c3) Nonprofit in Nevada County in 2014 and registered as a non-profit (501c3) in 2015 by Donna Raibley with the mission to give respite care to caregivers in need of a break. Our local volunteers service the homes of ordinary people tasked with taking care of a loved one in need of help. We need the help of local volunteers to give family caregivers in our community time in their week to go grocery shopping, see friends, and to just get out of the house for a little while so they can focus on taking care of themselves. Volunteers do not provide medical care. Prospective Volunteers must complete the volunteer training program. The training program covers a wide range of topics including: listening skills, and self-care; Family systems and Communication; Illness, aging, cognitive loss, and behavior management.
