Mission North - Youth Athletic Partners

Mission North is a non-profit organization established to address youth sports inequity in New York City.

Officially established as a 501c3 non-profit organization in February 2016, Mission North’s team recognizes that sports are vital to a young person’s personal, physical, and social growth. In many neighborhoods, however, these opportunities have become a luxury. Owing to declining public school funding and skyrocketing pay-to-play fees, children from poor backgrounds are now half as likely to participate in team sports as their middle-class peers. Those who do play often lack access to basics: shoes, safety equipment, balls, snacks and drinkable water.

Mission North is committed to closing this access gap, donating these urgently needed items directly to underfunded teams that represent a positive force in the lives of those who join.
