Varitra Foundation is a youth-lead organization having 12A, 80G and CSR compliances. A Sanskrit word, “Varitra” means Umbrella. In development terms, Varitra symbolises synergy, collaboration and a canopy of ideas. Over the past five years, Varitra has worked in over 30 villages in Karnal district (Haryana) on transforming education in rural government schools through initiatives like setting up libraries and running reading programs, infrastructural strengthening, running post-school remedial classes and enhancing student leadership through Bal-Parishads.
Varitra has also worked with 52 rural youth on their leadership-building and strengthening volunteering culture in villages.
Varitra Founders have received prestigious fellowships and awards such as Wipro Seed Fellowship, Edumentum, Pravah Changelooms, G P Birla Women Leaders’ Fellowship, IWSEN, etc.
