Become a Certified Volunteer Ombudsman! Our Region includes the counties: Allen, Auglaize, Hancock, Hardin, Mercer, Putnam, and Van Wert.
The Ombudsman deals with resident rights, quality of life, care concerns, receiving and investigating complaints and is an advocate for the elderly. The Ombudsman provides information to families, friends, and prospective long-term care residents. WE WILL TRAIN YOU FREE OF CHARGE! The Ombudsman Program is accepting applicants for the next Volunteer Training Program.
Residents of nursing homes many times cannot voice grievances on their own behalf. More than half of all residents in long-term care facilities have no relatives and no regular visitors. The residents of long-term care facilities may need the services of the Ombudsman to help advocate for their rights.
